Join Me in the Fight Against Breast Cancer
Welcome to my 2nd Annual Pink Tie Guy Half Marathon fund raising event for Susan G. Komen WNY
As a Pink Tie Guy, I will be running the EVL Half Marathon on Saturday, October 29, 2016 in Ellicottville, NY to raise funds for Komen WNY.
Please join me in supporting Komen's incredibly important work by: contributing to my event, by becoming a Pink Tie Guy, or by running with me in the EVL 5K or Half Marathon!
Last year together we raised $3,700! Can we reach $5,000 in 2016?
Don't forget your company match if your firm has a matching program (like HSBC)! My Komen affiliate is: Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Buffalo, NY 14209.
If you're like me and have people close to you who have been impacted by breast cancer, or know people involved in providing support services or toward finding a cure, then you know how important it is to help in any small way to make a difference!
Regardless of the amount, thank you so much for your support!
Pink Tie Guys
The Pink Tie Guy program is creating awareness for Komen's important work and impact in WNY by providing financial support to help fund education, outreach, screening, treatment and support programs in our community, as well as Komen National research grants, to eradicate breast cancer forever and save lives.
In short you will help SAVE LIVES!
Please Know Your Your Breast Health...
The key to survival is early detection.
The greatest risk factors for breast cancer are being female and growing older. Breast cancer knows no boundary, be it age, gender, socio-economic status or geographic location. We must continue to keep breast cancer top of mind because it affects so many!
One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. That’s one in eight within your company, school and organization. Now is the time to take action, to secure a long, healthy future for our mothers, daughters, sisters and friends!
Three simple steps for early detection are regular mammograms, clinical exams and breast self- exams. It is important to make healthy lifestyle choices.
And, remember, breast cancer affects more than just the patient; friends and family need support too.
SUSAN G. KOMEN...For the past 25 years, Komen has played a critical role in every major advance in the fight against breast cancer transforming how the world talks about and treats this disease and helping to turn millions of breast cancer patients into breast cancer survivors.
Over the next 25 years, an estimated 25 million women around the world will be diagnosed with breast cancer if we don’t find a cure. Komen will not stop until the cures are found and delivered.
We Will Find the Cure!
